Reaching Out to You

Many continuing education marketing professionals are struggling through the rise and fall of the waves of promoting academia. It may seem as if the sensation of drowning is a commonality in the sea of publication production, marketing research, print and electronic advertising, radio, television, customer relationship management and many of the other responsibilities that splash down into the CE Marketing Department.

UCEA’s Marketing and Publications Community of Practice (CoP) provides a hand for those who are inquisitive enough to seek knowledge and insight through the experience of others. This CoP brings together continuing education marketers for the purpose of sharing ideas, understanding trends, mentoring the less experienced and providing a venue for inquiry. It is a community of marketing professionals who pool their knowledge for the good of the whole.

Through email listserves, conferences, publications and networking, you will be able to hold out your hand and find that there are plenty of others who will reach out and pull you into a new realm of your own reality.

You’ll benefit from these activities as a member of the Marketing and Publications Community of Practice:

  • Exchange information via email with continuing education marketing professionals all over the country.

  • Attend conferences and meetings that will keep you in touch with current trends, basic and advanced marketing concepts and give you the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with others in the field.

  • Improve your marketing activities by implementing a promotion or idea that was successful elsewhere and you may end up saving time and money.

  • Participate in publications and marketing strategy award competitions and really show off what your school is doing.

  • Consider the concepts, ideas and images used by others to assist you in the creation of your own marketing strategies and publications.

  • Receive publications from UCEA on news, trends and pertinent information concerning continuing education.
