UCEA Membership Categories and Benefits

The University Continuing Education Association is an institutionally-based membership organization. Its membership is composed of regionally accredited, degree-granting universities and colleges. Individuals at these member institutions are eligible to join the Association as professional members. The Association's membership categories are described below.

Institutional Membership

Institutional membership applies to degree-granting, regionally-accredited colleges and universities that are incorporated in the United States. An institutional membership includes one professional membership for the institution’s official representative, who receives all mailings of the Association and participates in the business meetings and elections of the Association on behalf of the institution. The annual dues (PDF ) for an institutional member is based on the institution’s FTE and the highest level of degree awarded by the institution.

Affiliate Membership

Affiliate status (which is non-voting) is available to colleges and universities outside the United States, and to non-profit organizations with an interest or current activities in the field of continuing higher education. Each affiliate member has an official representative who receives all mailings of the Association. As of July 2001, non-U.S. colleges and universities that are accredited by their country’s higher education authority have the option to become institutional members of the Association.
