Speaker: William C. Kirby
William C. Kirby is the Spangler Family Professor at the Harvard Business School and T.M. Chang Professor of China Studies at Harvard University. He is also a Harvard University Distinguished Service Professor and Director of the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies. A historian of modern China, Kirby’s current research includes case studies of contemporary Chinese businesses (state-owned and private) and a comparative study of higher education in China and the United States. Prior to coming to Harvard, Kirby was Professor of History and Dean of University College at Washington University in St. Louis.
