Intensive Half-Day Professional Development Courses For Individuals
in Continuing Higher Education
The University Continuing Education Association, through its Professional
Development Committee, is engaged in the creation of an organized,
sequential series of professional development Modules designed to
serve continuing education professionals having various functions
and levels of experience. Each module is a highly interactive learning
experience, approximately one half-day in length. Modules are offered
in conjunction with Association conferences and are available for
use on a fee basis by higher education institutions, consortia,
and state/regional organizations.
The current roster of professional development Modules includes:
Ways You Can Use These Modules
-
For staff development in your institution
-
For your state CE association or professional organization
-
For your UCEA regional conferences
How It Works
-
The organization offering the module is directly responsible
for all arrangements and fees for the module itself, as well
as for the expenses and honoraria for module faculty.
-
A list of approved faculty qualified to teach the module will
be provided by UCEA. Each faculty member will be provided with
one set of course materials by UCEA; all costs for duplication
of materials are the responsibility of the sponsoring organization.
-
Module instructors shall provide to the UCEA national office
a list of participants who successfully complete the module
evaluation component within one month after completion. UCEA
will provide certificates of completion and maintain records
of courses completed.
