Napa Valley Wine Tour

Wednesday, July 9, 2008

8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Spend a leisurely day touring some of Napa Valley’s finest wineries. We will depart the Serrano Hotel promptly at 8:30 a.m. for a full day of scenery, wine, sights, wine, snacks, oh – and did we mention wine… Lunch will be available for purchase at Dean & Deluca gourmet deli. Our estimated return time to the Serrano Hotel is 5:00 p.m.

Vineyards include:

Beaulieu Vineyards ($15) – One of Napa Valley’s oldest family wineries, it was founded in 1900 by Georges de Latour.

Casa Nuestra Winery ($5) – Casa Nuestra which means “our house” was established in the Napa Valley in 1979 and continues to produce only about 1,500 cases annually from the estate’s vineyards located in both St. Helena and Oakville.

Chateau Montelena ($15/per 5 wines) – Founded in 1882, Chateau Montelena was closed during Prohibition. Reopened in 1972, the winery is in a stone chateau carved into a hillside and has a five-acre garden lake with two small islands.

St. Clement Vineyards ($15/per 5 wines) – The gabled Victorian house at the base of Spring Mountain was built in 1878 by a stained-glass merchant. It was the eighth winery in Napa Valley.

Beringer Vineyards ($10/per 3 wines) – Established in 1876 by the Beringer brothers, this is the oldest continuously operating winery in the Napa Valley. The Beringer home, a 17-room mansion called the Rhine House, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Registration Fee: $47.00/per person (Includes all-day transportation only.)

NOTE: Attendees responsible for all tasting fees at the wineries. Lunch is on your own at Dean & Deluca.
